July 16 - 21, 2006
Aberdeen, Scotland
The Carbon conference series comprises leading international meetings dedicated to the science and technology of carbon materials. Carbon 2006 will be hosted by the British Carbon Group and will be held at The Robert Gordon University in the historic Scottish city of Aberdeen. In addition, this year the conference will be preceded by an optional 'Nanoporous Carbons' summer school, and the main conference will be incorporating NanoteC06. Main Conference topics include: Adsorption, Activated carbon, Electrical, battery etc applications, Physical & Chemical properties, Reactivity and Catalysis, Intercalation, Nuclear graphite, Bio applications, Diamond, Carbon Fibres, Carbonization, Mesophase, Pyrolysis and Thermal processes, C-C composite materials, Fullerenes, nanotubes and nanoforms.
Quantachrome's Dr. Matthias Thommes co-authored the following papers
"Prediction and Modeling of High Pressure Hydrogen Adsorption on Porous Carbons Based on Cryogenic Adsorption Data" with J. Jagiello and M. Martinez.
"The concept of pore size distribution in porous carbons : testing the performance of the Density Functional Theory route on zeolite replica porous carbons" with Thomas Roussel, Roland J.-M. Pellenq, Christophe Bichara, Jacek Jagiello, M Thommes.
