This meeting will provide an excellent forum for reporting and discussing carbon science
and technology, current and future. Also, this year's organizing group, the American Carbon Society, celebrates its 50th
Anniversary in 2007.
This year's conference topics include:
- Novel Structures and Forms of Carbon Materials
- Modeling and Theoretical Aspects of Carbon Materials
- Characterization of Carbon Materials
- Production and Commercial Applications of Activated Carbons
- Large Scale Applications of Other Carbon Materials
- Electrochemical Applications of Carbon Materials
- Gas Storage in Carbon Materials
- Carbons for Composite Materials
- Thermal Management Applications of Carbon Materials
- Biomaterials

Quantachrome's Dr Matthias Thommes is co-author of a KEYNOTE lecture
entitled "Application of a Novel Density Functional Theory to the Pore Size
Analysis of Micro/Mesoporous Carbons” by P. Ravikovitch, M. Thommes and A.
Neimark. The lecture will be presented by Alex Neimark in the session on
Modeling and Theoretical Aspects of Carbon Materials. |
