15th INTERNATIONAL ZEOLITE CONFERENCE

The 15th International Zeolite Conference (15th IZC) is organized by the International Zeolite Association (IZA), together with the Chinese Zeolite Association (CZA) and should be of interest to all those in the field of zeolites and related sciences. The Conference will be preceded by a Pre-school (in Dalian) that will update participants on a series of topics relating to zeolites and porous materials science and technology. A Post-Conference field trip is scheduled to enable those interested to visit natural zeolite minerals.There are also an Exhibition and Round Table Discussions during the period of the Conference.

The Conference Proceedings containing the full text of Plenary and Keynote lectures, Presentations for R. M. Barrer Symposium, and oral and full-paper poster presentations will be published in Stud. Surf. Sci. Catal. after a scientific review.

Dr. Matthias Thommes, Quantachrome's Director of Applied Science, will present a
paper entitled "Large Pore Ordered Mesoporous Silica Materials with 3D Cubic Ia3D Structure: A Comprehensive Gas
Adsorption Study" co-authored with Freddy Kleitz (Université Laval, Québec) and Chia-Min Yang (National Tsing Hua
University, Taiwan).
In addition, Dr Thommes will present a poster co-authored with Jirí Rathouskı (J. Heyrovskı Institute of Physical
Chemistry, Czech Republic) entitled "Adsorption Properties and Advanced Textural Characterization of Novel
Micro/Mesoporous Zeolites".
