i Dr Matthias Thommes, Quantachrome's Director of Applied Science, will be involved in several sessions at this conference.
On Monday, May 24th, he will present (17:00) in Plenary session M2: MOFs a paper titled "Insights on Adsorption Characterization of Novel Open Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs)" by J. Moellmer, R. Luebke, A. J. Cairns, Dirk Wallacher, R. Staudt, M. Eddaoudi and M. Thommes.
On Tuesday, May 25, Dr Thommes will chair the session T1: MOFs - Flexible Structure, with R. Matsuda. He is also co-author of two papers to be presented the same day in Plenary Session T1 (Adsorption Equilibrium & Dynamics): "Modulation of Pore Condensation and Hysteresis Behavior in Ordered Mesoporous SBA-15 Silica as a Function of Synthesis Parameters" by F. Kleitz, R. Guillet-Nicolas, F. Berube and M. Thommes, and "The Role of Cavitation in Adsorption Hysteresis" by A.V. Neimark, C. Rasmussen, A. Vishnyakov, M. Thommes, B. Smarsly and F. Kleitz.
Dr Thommes is co-author of a paper on Thursday, May 27, in session Th4 (Molecular Modeling for Micro & Meso Porous Materials): "Fluid Behavior in Macroscopically Long Hierarchical Porous Materials" by R. Valiullin, D. Kondrashova, J. Karger, P.A. Monson and M. Thommes.
He will present poster contribution P25-27 "Water Adsorption Properties and Advanced Textural/Surface Characteriztion of Porous Carbons Used in Water Treatment Applications" by C. Morlay, R. Ahmad (also Quantachrome), J.P. Joly and M. Thommes. He is co-author of a second poster (P24-34): "Problems in the Characterization of Microporous/Mesoporous Materials by Physical Adsorption" by F. Rodriguez-Reinoso, J. Silvestre-Albero and M. Thommes.
