This conference covers, apart from the established topics like the synthesis, modification, characterization and application micro and mesoporous inorganic materials, the material classes of purely organic and metal-organic frameworks. For the first time there will also be a "Tutorial lecture", where both the newest developments of measuring methods and their fundamental aspects are presented. The conference language is German, however lectures can also be presented in English. The pictorial material of the lectures as well as the poster will be in English.

Quantachrome's Director of Applied Science, Dr Matthias Thommes, will give an invited Tutorial titled "Progress and challenges in the structural characterization of advanced nanoporous materials by physical adsorption" on Thursday March 5.
Dr Thommes is also co-author of a poster (P30) titled "Giant pores in a chromium 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate with MIL-101 topology" by A. Sonnauer, F. Hoffmann, M. Fröba, L. Kienle, V. Duppel, M Thommes and N. Stock.
