American Institute of Chemical Engineers Annual Meeting

The AIChE Annual Meeting is the premier educational forum for chemical engineers interested in innovation and professional growth.  i   Quantachrome's Director of Applied Science, Dr Matthias Thommes, will co-chair the session Characterization of Adsorbent Materials : together with chair, Peter A. Monson. This session presents the most recent advances in the theory and techniques for the characterization of adsorbents and adsorption phenomena. It will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 8:30 AM in Room 203A (Minneapolis Convention Center).

He will also present a lecture in the session "Industrial Fluid Properties Simulation Challenge" (#556). The lecture will be entitled "Progress and Challenges in the Physical Adsorption Characterization of Nanoporous Materials", to be given on Wednesday, October 19, 2011: at 2:15 pm in Conrad B (Hilton Minneapolis).

Dr. Thommes is also co-author of the following three oral papers, of which he will present (488c) entitled "Surface and Pore Structure Assessment of Hierarchical Zeolites by Advanced Water and Argon Sorption Studies" ( see below for details):
