Dr. Matthias Thommes (Quantachrome's Director of Applied Science) will give a talk on August 4th (Room B #11, 5F,5050. 13:20) entitled "Adsorption Properties and Characterization of Novel Open Metal Organic Frameworks" co-authored with E. B. Celer, (Quantachrome Instruments), R.Staudt and J.Moellmer, (both Center for non-classical Chemistry, Leipzig, Germany) and M.Eddaoudi (Univeristy South Florida, USA).

In addition, Dr. Thommes co-authors another oral presentation together with Freddy Kleitz and co-workers (Laval University, Canada) entitled: " Evidence for Modulated Pore Condensation and Hysteresis Behavior in Ordered Mesoporous SBA-15 silica as a Function of Synthesis Parameters" (August 4th (Room B #11, 5F,5050, 16:50), as well as a poster presentation together with Sang-Eon Park and co-workers (Inha University, Incheon, Korea) entitled " Synthesis of Plugged Hexagonal SBA-15 type Mesoporous Silica using Monoethanolamine : (August 6th, Poster Session 3, 17:30 - 19:30).

Furthermore, Dr. Thommes will be chairman (together with S. Inagaki, Tokyo Institute of Technology) of the session on Mesoporous Materials, (August 4th Room B, Building #11, 5F,505).
