Quantachrome Instruments is committed to significantly improving the capabilities of particle and porous material characterization equipment. Not just small updates to existing models, but major steps forward to increase throughput of otherwise tedious measurements. Instruments that are packed with features, new capabilities you don't have in your existing instruments, state-of-the-art techniques and calculations. So, in 2008-2009, Quantachrome embarked on a program to bring you such products. The first, the Aquadyne DVS Gravimetric Sorption Analyzer was introduced late last year. What makes it so special? Dual balances for two samples side-by-side in a single environmental chamber doubles the throughput of a traditional DVS gravimetric water sorption analysis.
So what's new this year?
The next two instruments to be launched were seen for the first time in public at the Pittcon Expo in Orlando, Florida, March 1 - 4. The Autosorb-iQ, we are sure, will instantly become the instrument of choice for researchers, developers & producers at all levels in the field of advanced porous materials - the sorts of materials that will have a major positive impact on fuel, energy, climate, catalysis and aerospace to name but a few. The ZetaReader is targeted towards particles in suspension, for better, more cost-effective industrial quality control, or for cleaner drinking water for example.
