| Quantachrome's Porofil Wetting Fluid is the recommended wetting liquid for Capillary Flow Porometry measurements. Pore size measurement by porometry requires that the sample under test be fully wetted and the pores completely filled before the measurement can be made. The properties of Porofil are ideal for wetting virtually all materials with an effectively zero contact angle, while having a low vapor pressure - thus minimizing evaporation. Porofil is such an excellent wetting fluid that it even easily wets porous PTFE.
This product can be used with all models and makes of porometer including the Xonics and Coulter Porometer series of instruments (Porofil has been used since the early 1980's and has maintained an excellent reputation). Porofil is sold in 100mL bottles, and is provided with an MSDS.
